The Haxey and Westwoodside Heritage Society
The Heritage Society has been running for many years. We have a huge archive of local materials and a number of publications on aspects of the history of Haxey parish. New members and visitors will be made very welcome at any of our regular monthly meetings.
Our Programme for this year is as follows:-
14th March – The History of the Mechanics Institute, Epworth – Peter Frost
11th April – The White Peak Way – Andrew Firth
9th May no meeting usual Thursday —
Saturday 11th May – What’s in the Archives – come and find out! Haxey Memorial Hall 2.00 – 4.00pm Free entry.
13th June – The Vikings – Pat McClauchlan 11th July – A Picture Quiz – Malcolm Dolby
August – no meeting
12th Sept – AGM, followed by an audio presentation by George Fiddler – details to follow
10th Oct – Henrietta Stockdale, Part 2 – David Seymour
Meetings take place on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in Westwoodside Hall.
